Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI) is excited to announce that we have three brands of new trucks being added to our fleet!

In addition to the new Volvo VN860 team trucks and the new Peterbilt 579 Ultraloft, we also have 25 new Freightliner Cascadia® trucks that should be in service by the middle of the summer. These 25 new Freightliner trucks will be assigned to drivers at Dot Foods Idaho and Dot Foods Mt. Sterling. Whenever we bring in new brands of trucks to our fleet, we limit the locations they are distributed to. Taking this approach allows us to better establish local dealer support, train our technicians, add parts inventory needed, and train drivers on the new-to-us brand trucks.

In addition to the exciting news about our Cascadia truck additions, you can expect upcoming enhancements to our new Peterbilt trucks to start arriving in the middle of July. Peterbilt refers to these updates as the “mid-life update” (MLU). The MLU trucks will have a different look with a new updated hood, bumper, and mirrors, along with several interior updates and enhancements. One very nice enhancement for our drivers will be the new digital dash.

We continue to add and improve equipment enhancements for our drivers with new trucks we purchase. In addition to the improved added driver features, you will also see continued focus on safety improvements.
